1. Pusher and Pusher Channels

PushCaster implements the Pusher Channels protocol so that applications already written against it can connect without being rewritten.

PushCaster is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or in any way officially connected to Pusher Ltd or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates.

“Pusher”, “Pusher Channels” and related marks are the property of their respective owners. They are used on this site and in our documentation only to identify the protocol PushCaster is compatible with and the libraries that protocol is normally used from — a descriptive use, and one we make no claim of ownership through.

PushCaster does not claim authorship of, or any right in, the official Pusher client and server libraries. We do not distribute them, we do not modify them, and we do not publish patched copies of them. Where our documentation refers to them, it refers to the versions published by their own maintainers, under their own licences.

2. Libraries our compatibility suite runs against

The following are third-party libraries, published and licensed by their own maintainers. They are listed because our compatibility suite exercises PushCaster against these versions, not because PushCaster provides or supports them.

  • pusher-js 8.4.0 — Pusher Ltd, MIT licence.
  • pusher/pusher-php-server 7.2.7 — Pusher Ltd, MIT licence.
  • pusher (Node.js) 5.2.0 — Pusher Ltd, MIT licence.
  • pusher (Python) 3.3.4 — Pusher Ltd, MIT licence.
  • pusher-http-go v5.1.1 — Pusher Ltd, MIT licence.
  • pusher (Ruby) 2.0.3 — Pusher Ltd, MIT licence.
  • laravel/framework ^12.0, including Laravel Echo — Taylor Otwell and contributors, MIT licence.

Licence terms are those published with each library. Where a licence requires attribution, that attribution is theirs and is reproduced with the library rather than replaced by this page.

3. Other third-party software

PushCaster is built on open-source software, including PostgreSQL, Redis, NATS, Django, Go, React and Caddy, each under its own licence. We are grateful for it, and we claim nothing in it.

If you need the complete dependency list with licences for a specific release, ask us and we will provide it.

4. Reporting a problem with this page

If you own a name or a work referred to here and consider the reference inaccurate or improper, write to us and we will correct it. We would rather fix an attribution than argue about one.
